Ted is a Peacock original series, with VFX made by Tippett Studio. Applied expertise in VFX, with a focus on motion capture data integration and character animation. Collaborated with the team to bring the director's vision to life, ensuring the transition of the beloved character to television format.
Ascension is a Body Mechanics shot, animated in Maya 2023. It demonstrates attention toward timing and weight, amplifying the fluidity in motion. The animation style draws inspiration from aesthetics seen in recent animated movies that blur the line between realistic human movement and artistic flair.
Play Cards is a Pantomime Shot, animated in Maya 2023. Rigid Body Simulation was used to achieve the card tower falling apart. Used Leo Rig by Wonderwell Studios.
Gouda is a Two-character Dialogue Shot, animated in Maya 2023. Emphasize the facial animation and how that works together with their body movements. Used Amy & Sam Rigs by Gabriel Salas.
Roar is an Animal/Creature Shot, animated in Maya 2020. Studied Gorilla movement and animated it in a stylized manner, with an emphasis on Squash and Stretch. Used Gorilla Rig by ProRigs.
Chiseled is a 3D Rigid Body Simulation, created using Houdini. The scene is orchestrated through the utilization of dynamics solvers. Rigid body dynamics are harnessed to accurately replicate the physics of solid objects, enabling realistic collisions, forces, and constraints.
Flicker is a 3D animated short film produced by Christin Smolinski. I contributed to this project, working on several shots at StudioX - the university's industry-standard studio.
This allowed me to experience a professional environment, complete with dailies, deadlines, and cross-collaboration with other departments of the pipeline.
Swingville is a 2D short entirely animated and produced by me over one year and a half of hard work. It serves as a music video for Parov Stelar's song 'Sally's Dance'. This short won second prize in Romanian's national InfoEducation Contest for the Best Original Multimedia Short Film.
Bullet marked my first introduction to 3D Animation and Maya in late 2019. Although it may not represent my best work, I decided to upload it on my website to show how I started in this field, and show viewers how much I've progressed since then.
